Burrata with Bread and Tomatoes  


Ingredients

1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
1 baguette, thinly sliced
4 garlic cloves, halved
5 heirloom tomatoes
1 ball burrata cheese, about 10 ounces
sea salt and ground black pepper

Directions
Preheat indoor grill pan. Brush the baguette slices on both sides with olive oil. Place baguette slices on and cook until golden on each side. Transfer baguette slices to a platter and rub the top side of each slice with the cut side of the garlic cloves.
Thinly slice the tomatoes. Arrange the burrata cheese, tomatoes, and grilled baguette slices on a serving platter, sprinkle with sea salt and pepper, along with a drizzle of olive oil. Spread the burrata cheese on baguette slices and add tomato.

This is a brilliant idea for a Friday night with a glass of wine and good movie. Sometimes the simplest dishes are the most delicious and comforting.
