Peace Coffee

While I try to post a good variety of food and drink - I realized this morning, I have failed to adequately express my love of coffee. I’m not a coffee snob, and will happily enjoy a cup of joe from any brewing mac
hine. But, that’s not to say I don’t have some favorites in my own kitchen.
Almost 10 years ago, my mother bought be a fabulous Impressa Juro Capresso for my birthday. It is truly the superhero of coffee machines - it always saves my morning. It grinds the beans, blends the java, steams the milk, boils water for tea. I don’t indulge in many things, but coffee is something I take time enjoy and appreciate. I’m sure my daughter appreciates my love for coffee too (coffee almost always produces a mom ready to make crepes and bacon). So all are happy in this house.
I’ve tried and tested too many brands of coffee beans to count. Some I enjoy more than others. But, my absolute favorite coffee brand comes in the form of Peace Coffee. I was first drawn to this brand after learning about their work as a fair trade company. Some days the mass market of those well-known coffee shops makes me want to run far from those basic brands and stick with a company whose process of buying and selling exists under the recognizable title of fair trade. Apart from that particular selling point, this coffee is fantastic! Bold flavors, very rustic. It’s a smooth coffee with bright taste. Give it a try next time your passing the vast variety of coffee at the grocery store. Enjoy something new. Because even though the best dinner dish may come from hours of kitchen preparation and cooking, the beauty of a good cup of hot coffee is a simplicity that always promises success and enjoyment.
